Shenandoah(Civil War)

Charlie Anderson is a farmer in Shenandoah, Virginia. He has a big family, 6 sons and 1 daughter, he lives his life happily and love his children very much. One day he found himself become miserable when his large family is surround in the middle of the civil war. He refuses to support the Confederacy as you can see in the scene that the soldier come to his home and ask for his sons to become the one of the army force but he don’t agree even he lets his sons make a decision themselves. The main reason that he does not support because he does not favor slavery and he believes that this is not his war.

Then his only 1 daughter, Anne, fall in love with Sam, soldier, and to be married in the next time. As soon as, the wedding is finish Sam has to go to the war even before the honeymoon.

Unfortunately, his youngest child is capture by the soldiers, he and his children try to find their youngest by leave 1 sons and his wife to take care of his land. He go to the camp of the soldiers but his child is not there. But down deep in the bad luck has a good thing, he found Sam in the train that contain a\ prisoners of war.

Time pass by, he decides to go back home and accept his bad luck, but his one son was shot by the accident and died. Moreover, his son and daughter-in-law are killed in his house. He is very sad because he cannot give a good take care of his children.
At the end of the story, his lost son is come back to him. This may be the happiest time in his life.

Gone to Texas

I have got this movie and i am very amazing in what is the story going. Who and why did they go to Texas.

Finally, i can find all the answers when i reach the end of Gone to Taxas. i will told you about this movie.

This movie is the story about Sam Houston, governor of Tennessee, at that time. He married with one girl, 19 years old, and they go to honeymoon together. Unfortunatly, the girl has her lover and connot stop loving him, she have to married him because her father need more power and respect from others. After that when she told Houston, he sent her back to her home immediately. For this reason he decide to resigned his office and go to spent his life in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) and falling in love with Tiana Roger.

Later, He has to move to Texas, With the outbreak of the Texas Revolution during that time, he was named commanding general of the revolutionary army. Houston is a delegate to the convention that declared Texas an independent republic. His command was reconfirmed, and he led the Texas army to a brilliant victory. He is selected to be a precident of Republic of Texas. And also the Houston, Taxas was name by him.

In my point of view, i love this movie very much. I think it shows the political policy at that moment in a very good story. Most countries are not know in democrcy, they need to conquer more land and War is the only one way to let them free from colonial. And many people need to have more power so they try to cheat other for land and money to raise their status. As in the plot that father need to have power so daugther have to married with Houston without love.

Pocahontas The Legend

I guess that some of you have ever seen this movie before in cartoon or other versions. For me this is my frist time to see Pocahontas and feel that is very interesting movie. Let me talk about this movie to you all.

The movie starts with a group of white men or Englishmen sailing their ship to explore and settle the new world. They go to the land that Princees Pocahontas, Indian region, and her group live before. Whitemen try to seek for gold in the land but the natives don't understand about it . The natives just think that the thunder stick (gun) will harm them and they need to keep it .

By the way there are one whiteman, John Smith, who try to keep a good relation with princess Pocahontas and others. One day John Smith is captured by the natives because of wrong understanding. While he ia captures,Pocahontas begs for his life and make him become one of her. Smith begins to learn their customs and beliefs from Pocahontas. As Smith spends more time with them, specifically Pocahontas, they fall in love oneself.

When the time pass by, Smith is decide to come back to his group but he is mentioned to betray. Then the truth is come when Pocahontas tell the story to his captian. Finally, every things trun to be good but Smith have to go back his land by leaving only his love and good memories behind.

From the movie. there are many scenes that show their beliefs and customs. For example, the way that they use to make their group believe in who said the truth. And the way that natives hit the prisoner to show the power. Last, the way that natives use mud to make Smith as a member.
